Never been a fan of tannin stained aquarium water personally, but much respect to those that do. Wonderful for the fish that enjoy it for sure.

Nice, honest fish room. As a Tang guy, I like the Tanganyika tank but I agree that the stocking is not spectacular. I love the ornatus, but to add color, I think a few leleupi would add that splash. That means losing a few of the other fish. Not sure what length has this tank, if long enough, cyps would be a nice addition. I dont mind the BBA, think it gives it a natural look.

29gal is a awesome tank for certain fish but I prefer the 30 long. Horizontal space is always more important to me over vertical space but i like bottom dwellers and schooling fish.

I've kept guppies and mollies together in a 120 litre tub here in Thailand for years. Plenty of plants on the top, leaves on the bottom and no problems with the babies they churn out. Super cheap here in Thailand too, every type of guppy from as little as a couple of baht each - 10 cents! 😮👍

I am starting a 20gal... The Quietflow 10 says for 20gal tanks, but most reviews I've seen said they have it on a 10gal tank and may be ok for a 15gal... so I gather a bit weak on a 20gal. Would you recommend the QuietFlow 20 (30gal max) for a 20gal tank? Will be guppies and shrink, and will have a sponge on the intake tube. $10 cheaper than the AquaClear30 (a600) here in Canada, plus, remote area so random small power outtages... self priming sounds like a bonus. Thanks.

Black beard algae is awful. Its tough to get off things. I had to take out all my rocks and wire brush it off 🤣

I'm glad you made your own stand because because aquarium stands are cheaply made and extremely overpriced and they are not even made out of real wood just some Particle board or something that will fall apart.

Cover the bottom of the tank with sand, leaf litter, add some driftwood and low light plants or perhaps some floating plants with long roots, and your tank will definitely look and feel like a slice taken from a jungle river, especially with tannins to create a nice dark environment

Sir, I want to ask: 1. For a 20x20x25 tank, do you need an aerator? There's already a hanging filter... 2. In the morning and afternoon I turn off the lights because there is sunlight, do I need to provide an aerator? 3. I will turn on the lights at night after I get home from the office around 9pm (because I'm in the bedroom, the AC is on 16°C 😅 so I need a light so the water isn't too cold🙈.. 4. Fill with low CO2 plants, bright fluorescent fish, guppies, mollies, platties, and ornamental shrimp.. 5. The tank is new and will be filled with tap water (in Indonesia, you can't drink tap water because it contains iron and chlorine). 6. what should I do and what do I have for my tank?

Yes I just wedge anubias and java ferns in cracks and crevices in driftwood and rocks. I like doing it this way in order to easily rescape my plants if I don't like the way they are filling out

I love doing this! I take the baby Java Ferns that grow off the big leaves and glue them onto my spiderwood. 😄

HELLO! I am going to be getting a 40 gallon cube aquarium and I am struggling to find good stocking ideas for that particular type of Aquarium, all I find are for 40 longs. I would say I don’t mind having species only, and was looking at maybe a single Angel with some schooling fish. But need some guidance. Thank you in advance if you are able to provide any suggestions.

I am deciding between the tidal 35 or auqaclear 20 and before even watching a thing i knew the tidal was for sure the better filter but for my 6 gallon nano tank it seemed way to big so i went with the auqaclear haha
